How to Set Up Local IPV6 Network

Hello,

I'm creating a smart home using the Matter protocol, which uses IPv6. I only need IPv6 on the local network, but all the posts I've read require both WAN and LAN set up. How do I create a purely local IPv6 network?

You could start by following this. My understanding is that guy really knows his stuff!

One thing I should have mentioned, instead of creating a virtual IP, configure the interface as static and enter the address there. Since you don't want access to the Internet, you don't have to worry about tracking the interface, etc..
