      Hello,

I have purchased a pfSense SG-1100, and I am experiencing inconsistent behavior during boot regarding interface detection.

During initialization, the system does not detect the LAN port as connected (the LAN interface is not found). After the boot process completes, I manually select option 2 – Assign Interfaces, but the problem persists.

What I have observed is that after performing multiple consecutive factory default resets, at some point the LAN interface does get detected. However, I have not been able to identify any consistent pattern or specific condition that explains when or why this happens.

Once the LAN interface is finally detected and I successfully configure the device and access the WebGUI, I then import my own config.xml. This configuration file was exported from another SG-1100 device running the same pfSense version, which is functioning normally.

After importing the configuration, the system becomes inaccessible via the WebGUI.
The only changes I make in the config.xml are the WebGUI IP address and port. I have performed a diff comparison between the two XML files, and there are no other differences.

I would appreciate any guidance on:

The inconsistent LAN interface detection during boot

Whether importing a configuration from another SG-1100 could cause this behavior, even when versions match

      Thank you in advance.

@thanosg please don't double-post, putting it in the 'off-topic' is certainly not the right place.
