A new public Release Candidate for pfSense
Plus 26.03 is now available for testing!Thank you to all users willing to test this Release Candidate. Your involvement is essential to making Netgate
's pfSense Plus product a stronger solution for everyone.This Release Candidate includes over 40 updates, bug fixes, and enhancements.
Some new features include:
WebGUI Optimizations - The WebGUI code has been optimized. Users may experience a dramatic increase in GUI performance.
System Patches Package: All installations now include it by default.SSH Algorithms - Increase security by including post-quantum key exchange algorithms and by removing older and weaker algorithms.
TLS Certificate Strength - Weak (<2048 bits) TLS Server Certificates have been deprecated. This version checks the GUI certificate during the upgrade process and will re-generate a new GUI certificate if the current certificate is invalid, expired, or weak.
TLS Certificate Auto-Renew - This version automatically renews TLS server certificates, whether self-signed or signed by an internal CA stored in the pfSense software configuration.

It seems that the "4100" which is not sold anymore, is fine.

Updated kvm based pfplus to 26.03 rc.
pppoe is fixed for virtio interfaces.

Same but in limited use pfSense seems fine. A few pages of errors could easily be disconcerting though.

Working on my Watchguard M570 FrankenWall!
Chasing down an issue with MultiWan not liking the Cradlepoint connection and killing DNS responses. Not sure if it is pfS or the Cradlepoint, but troubleshooting as time is available. It was working fine under 25.11.

everything running great so far.25.11.1 -> 26.03 RC.
Hardware is Pfsense White Box on following hardware
Supermicro x11sdv Intel(R) Xeon(R) D-2123IT CPU @ 2.20GHz -

Running netgate 2100 w/ 128 G ssd addon. All good so far.

Fairly consistent issues with the DNS resolver and Kea. Watchdog service is noticing and restarting.
15:25:00 Detected service unbound stopped. Restarting unbound (DNS Resolver)
15:25:03 Detected service kea-dhcp4 stopped. Restarting kea-dhcp4 (Kea DHCP Server)
15:25:03 Detected service kea-dhcp6 stopped. Restarting kea-dhcp6 (Kea DHCPv6 Server) -
Running kea and unbound on 26.03 rc latest,
is quite stable here. -
Same here : on 26.03.r.20260317.0210 now.
Can't say its better. No issues what so ever. -

I have migrated my "production" environmet to latest rc, and removed
all disabled hardware offload form the underlyin kvm host as mitigation to pppoe issueIperf to/from the kvm host went up from 3Gbit to 9.3Gbit, full wire speed.
Apart from a known pfblockerng being carried over, everything seems fine.
