I'm not sure what the point of these posts are. You create one for every release. Everyone upgrades. People are posting their experiences under the release thread. This thread is redundant.

You mean .03, .07, and .11 have become the norm. If only we were fortunate enough to be getting .3 and .7 releases! (Ya know, like 2.8.3 or 2.8.7 or something.) ;)

@chudak I have a 2100 and am seeing much better GUI performance. I have had no issues with this release so far.

Reboot back into the version of pfSense that you were using before.
Now, get a stop watch, calibrate your finger, and measure some reference pages, like the dashboard.
Hit the stopwatch with one finger, and
the green SIGN IN button with the other.
As soon as the dashboard shows up and is fully loaded, stop the counter.
Note the score.Reboot back into 26.03.
Do the same test.If both values are really close == 'no difference' then :
Your dashboard is nearly empty ?
Or : You have a very powerful system, so you just gained a couple of ms, not seconds.
Or : the time in your time zone is broken ?For me, on a 4100, I gained (estimation, I don't have a stop watch) something from 2 seconds to 1 second (26.03) for the dashboard to show up.

My dashboard loads noticeably faster, I did not time it.

A dashboard with lots of widgets will still see some delay, it has to pull the data for them. The password rehashing fix addresses delays switching between pages in general. It should be significantly faster on an 1100 or 2100.

Maybe you are right
I clicked thru Services menu and it seems very snappy.
I usually click on pfS+ and takes tie as I have a lot of widgets. -
This had to be one of the smoothest upgrades on my 4100 ever. I expected it to take a lot longer than it did. I should note that this was from 25.07.1 to 26.03 as I skipped the problematic 25.11.1 release entirely.
I did not need to do anything special, like uninstall PfBlockerNG prior to upgrading.

Successfully upgraded a 2100 from 25.11.1 to 26.03. Big thanks to the pfSense team!
- Removed pfBlockerNG package
- Set Update->Branch to 26.03
- Used Terminal to initiate upgrade (sudo screen /dev/cu.usbserial-xxxx 115200, -ixon)
- Lots of php warning messages for Role.php
- Took 9 minutes to be back at the web UI
- Reinstalled pfBlockerNG which took 10 minutes
- Had to start the two pfBlockerNG services
- Don't really notice any dramatic UI speedups when going to the Dashboard. Takes about 9 seconds to display.
