Currently we can only run a Nexus Controller on a pfSense plus firewall itself.

Several of my customers are looking into using Nexus MIM, but are really not happy about the idea that the controller runs on a specific Firewall instance. They want it as an installable controller component that can run on a management server.

Will that ever be an option?

I have proposed deploying a Azure/Aws pfsense instance for the purpose, but for most customers that is not the solution.

PS: We REALLY need 60 or 90 days MIM trial instance licenses!!
It's hard to sell the Nexus idea when customers cannot test it at a little more scale than the instance upon which the controller runs.

Love the no fuss of using the official appliances :-)

Yes, we're working on a standalone Nexus instance.

Any future with trial instance licenses?

It'd be best to contact sales for that question :)
