      High CPU load performance degradation after changing a setting or enabling/disabling firewall rule netgate 4100 pfsense 25.11.1 and 26.03 Now running 25.11, no problems at all. Upgrade to 25.11.1 or 26.03.. Performance is same.. Till I change 1 setting or enable or disable firewall rule. The moment I hit save.. Cpu spikes.. And doesn't go down anymore. Till I reboot and everything is okay again. Till I do a change again.. Then again spikes on cpu till I reboot. Performance goes down noticeably! Changes are being saved.. Not sure what goes wrong.. As long as not change any setting or enable / disable firewall rule netgate 4100 performance is like on 25.11. Rock solid

        @Menno_van_den_Heuvel if you look at Diagnostics>System Activity, or run top, what is using CPU?

        To upgrade, select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings. When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, CPU, and/or disk speed.
        Only install packages for your version of pfSense.

          Yup check the output of top -HaSP at the CLI. What's using that CPU?
