pfSense USB boot shows garbled output on serial console (Portwell CAD-0215)

Hello, I have an issue and would appreciate your help.
I have a device with an AMD
G-Series T24L 1.0GHz 64-bit processor, a Portwell CAD-0215. I’m trying to install pfSense on this device.
The problem is that I can connect to the serial console via PuTTY without any issues. I can access and configure the BIOS settings, see the boot screen, and the previously installed system on the device boots normally.
However, when I plug in the pfSense installation USB and try to boot from it, I start seeing garbled/unreadable characters on the PuTTY screen, and it continues like that for a while.
Do you think this issue is related to the USB drive, or could it be a compatibility problem with the device? I would appreciate any help or suggestions from anyone who has experienced a similar issue.

@disasterus what speed settings have you set for the serial console? Garbled output could mean speed settings not being correct.
pfSense default speed is 115200 and if the speed is set to anything different in the BIOS, I'd set it to the mentioned 115200.

Addition: if the user manual is anything to go by the serial speed is 19200 (page 19). Maybe the speed can be set in the BIOS (page 24/25).

@patient0 Thank you for your quick and accurate response, that was exactly the issue. I had actually seen this document before, but with my limited English I only skimmed through it and didn’t pay enough attention. I assumed it would work as long as the baud rate set in PuTTY matched the one configured on the device. Also, thank you for upholding the spirit of sharing knowledge online without expecting anything in return.
