      So when i come to network configuration where i choose WAN interface first, i see a command line that shows up at the bottom, or like i am able to text outside the GUI, and then when i do something i see pfsense installer$ and i am able to type exit which restarts the installation process. I am using hyper v and followed the offical installation walktrough. I can't take a screenshot so i am not able to show you what i mean.

          @AyanHM are you here?
          https://docs.netgate.com/pfsense/en/latest/recipes/virtualize-hyper-v.html#first-boot-and-interfaces-assignment

          To upgrade, select your branch in System/Update/Update Settings. When upgrading, allow 10-15 minutes to reboot, or more depending on packages, CPU, and/or disk speed.
          Only install packages for your version of pfSense.

            @SteveITS i clicked on the installation walktrough link and followed the rest of pfsense installation from there (the see also blue box). It is above the "First boot and interfaces assignment".
            This is where i start to get stuck when i choose WAN interface:

                Hmm, is that actually the Net Installer or just an older ISO image?

                Can you not post a screenshot from hyper-v?

                  @AyanHM Just as a test, I fired up a fresh VM (Secure Boot disabled, 2GB RAM, 30GB disk) on my Hyper-V lab machine, booted from the Netgate Installer 1.2.0 ISO, and next, next, nexted my way through from start to finish. Ended up with a CE 2.8.1 ready to go. I kept everything at defaults.

                  Post some screenshots (use your phone camera if you can't take a direct screenshot) and some more details about your setup (what Netgate Installer version, what version of Windows/Hyper-V)

                    @luckman212 In Hyper v settings i have 2 interfaces, one for LAN and one for WAN.
                    Here are the settings for the VM. I have Windows Windows 11 Pro 25H2

                    0d34dae3-281d-4ae6-a706-62e13deab54c-image.png

                    i choose hn0 for WAN interface.

                    then when i press continue i get this where i am able to type outside the GUI.

                    and then after a few seconds i get this and i have to redo installation

                        @stephenw10 Nothing, the input i write (outside the GUI) gets removed and nothing happens, but it looks like it did go forward now, this is what i see now atleast.
