pfsense appliance crashing after being on for days

Hello everyone. I have a pfsense appliance 2-7-2 and after being on continuously for 100 days it freezes, forcing a manual restart. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas?

Yes I had freezes on 2.7.2 (also on 2.5.0 and 2.5.2) but with no error logged or crashdump - so the only thing I can recommend is update to 2.8.1 ... (now 243 days uptime)

Exactly how 'frozen' is it? Like the console stops responding?
But, yes, you should upgrade anyway.
