Auto Configuration Backup Restore table layout broken after 26.03.1 upgrade
-
Hi,
After upgrading my Netgate 2100 ARM appliance to pfSense Plus 26.03.1-RELEASE, the Auto Configuration Backup Restore page appears to have a table layout/rendering issue.
ACB itself seems to work correctly:
- Auto Configuration Backup is enabled
- Device Key is present
- Manual backups can be created successfully
- The backup list is populated
- A new manual backup appears in the list
- Search does not show any error
- The action icons are present
The issue is that the Restore page table is rendered incorrectly.
Depending on the browser window size/zoom, the Local Date/Time and Configuration Change columns collapse or disappear, while the Actions column appears on the far right. This makes it difficult to clearly associate each Restore/Download/View/Delete icon with the correct backup row.
I tested with:
- Safari normal mode
- Safari private window
- Chrome
- full firewall reboot
No change.
Device:
- Netgate 2100
- pfSense Plus 26.03.1-RELEASE (arm64)
Before the upgrade, I regularly used this page to restore/download ACB backups, and the table/action buttons were displayed correctly.
This looks like a WebGUI/CSS/layout regression on the Auto Configuration Backup Restore page after 26.03.1.

What version did you upgrade from where it's working correctly?

@stephenw10 I upgraded from pfSense Plus 26.03-RELEASE (arm64) to pfSense Plus 26.03.1-RELEASE (arm64).
The device is a Netgate 2100.
Before the upgrade, the Auto Configuration Backup Restore page was displaying correctly, with the action icons aligned to the correct backup rows.

@hyppo1977 I just upgraded from 26.03 to 26.03.1 and not seeing this - table looks normal.

I am using firefox - just tried chrome and edge, working there too.

Hmm I can't replicate this so far...

@johnpoz Thanks for checking.
Could you please tell me which operating system and browser zoom/display scaling you are using?
In my case the issue happens on:
- macOS Tahoe 26.5
- Safari
- Safari Private Window
- Chrome
- Netgate 2100
- pfSense Plus 26.03.1-RELEASE (arm64)
The action icons are present, but the ACB Restore table layout is broken on my Mac: the Date/Time and Configuration Change columns collapse or disappear, while the Actions column remains on the far right.
So it may be related to WebGUI rendering on macOS/browser/display scaling rather than ACB itself.

@hyppo1977 I am on windows 10 22h2, firefox 151.02, I change the zoom all the time in FF - have just as mouse button (getting older and eyes not as good as use to be - heheh). I have zoomed in and out and it never messes up. Both in normal zoom, and also just text zoom mode.
As to scaling, I assume you mean in windows display props - that is just set to 100% I run at 2560x1440.
And before anyone chimes in that I should update for security reasons - which I would agree with but I have ESU so good for a few more months till Oct this year, unless they extended it again. I just have no desire to move to 11, there really isn't any feature(s) that are enticing enough to do the upgrade. When that time comes will decide to actually move to 11, or just switch to linux. My PC supports 11 without any issues - it was just easier to enable the free ESU.
My work laptop runs 11, and not had any major issues with it - but I do a lot less with my work laptop than my personal pc. That is pretty much just teams, and email and ssh ;)
As to pfsense, not sure how it would be any different for a 2100 vs my 4860
I would install safari and test for you - but don't think they really support that on windows any more? But have been toying with picking up one of the new neos.. Guess I could grab my ipad or use my phone and take a look see.. Give me a bit.
edit: ok just took a look on my ipad with safari running ios 26.5 and table looks fine.

I tested with Firefox and Chromium in Linux Mint with various window sizes. It just drew the table as expected in each case.
