      Hi,
      Can anyone decipher this log below?
      Im getting random disconnections, packet loss etc. Updated to 2.8.1 couple weeks ago, so im not sure if its coincidence or something else?
      Checked all lines and cables etc.

      Any help would be appreciated.

        Nothing there looks particularly unexpected. It looks like you really are seeing packet loss on the WAN.

        The only unusual thing is the disconnection of igc1. I assume that was you disconnecting the LAN NIC?

              The "sendto error: 64" means that pfSense WAN interface went down (the interface leds stopped glowing - no more bits on the WAN wire - disconnected).
              The WAN interface might have been pulled down by pfSense, as this is the action taken by 'dpinger' to try to reset (re establish) the connect. It can also be the device (modem ? router ?) on the other side of the pfSense WAN cable, a this is the only way of this device to signal pfSense something 'bad' has happened with the upstream connection.
              The connection came back (at least a ping or two actually replied) :

                Had the NBN tech out today. Ended up being the pole across the road. Was shorting out or something in the wind. Would be the reason for the random drop outs.
                Hope thats all it is. It was strange as ive never had a problem before.
