        You resolved this?

        The flashing orange LED means an upgrade is available. The 6100 doesn't have a buzzer/speaker as far as I know so that is....odd!

          @stephenw10 I t thought I had deleted that post (seems not!). After further investigation it turned out that the sound was coming from a UPS which is adjacent to the 6100. The location makes it difficult to determine the source of the sound, plus I have hearing issues which compound the problem. So the 6100 was indeed fine but the UPS seemed to be complaining about the heat, though it was working fine. After applying some cooling it stopped beeping.
