OpenVPN clients list is empty

Topic says it all. How do I correct this.

@tedquade Do you have any OpenVPN instances built? Are they server or client?

@chpalmer I have 3 OpenVPN clients connected to the server (via public IP addresses courtesy of my ISP) and functioning. I just checked 3 other pfsense boxes (part of my lab) and they all are in the same state. They are 6100max, 4100max, 1100 and a white box. I have 2 additional white boxes I have not yet checked.
The clients are all Gl Inet travel routers BE3600, MT3600BE and BE10000.
Puzzling to say the least.

Red herring.
OpenVPN clients list is a list of configured clients connecting to external OpenVPN servers. I have none. I was looking at this from the wrong frame of reference.

@tedquade if you want to see your connected clients
You can either add the homepage widget, or just go under openvpn status
That 172.56.x.x IP is my phones IP using currently from cell carrier.

Yeah, this works fine as far as I know.
Exactly which list are you seeing empty? In which pfSense version?

FreeBSD 16.0-CURRENTVPN / OpenVPN / Clients is empty and should be as I have not configured any Client connections to external OpenVPN servers such a proton.
OpenVPN / Client Export Utility is properly populated with instances for each of my travel routers.
My confusion was regarding my frame of reference. My mind sees clients as external entities connecting to my server, not the other way around (local client connections to external servers).

Oh I see. Yes, that's actually quite a common misunderstanding. Clients for servers are not configured there as you found. I should have spotted that.
