fios multigig ipv6
-
I just updated 2 different networks to fios multigig service from fios 1g service. In the process I lost ipv6. How do I get it back. thanks.

First off, make sure you're still receiving it after the upgrade. Capture the DHCPv6 sequence to verify it. Once that's done you can continue with further troubleshooting.

I have never run a packet capture in pfsense before. please provide detailed instructions with screenshots.

You file a complaint with the FTC, apparently. /s
People (including myself) have been asking about this for 3+ years...

Got it. I am up a creek without a paddle.

For now, the only semi-viable option is an HENET tunnel. That's what I use. Off peak times it should provide 400-600Mbps of throughput if you choose a local PoP. Not ideal, but better than "I can't use IPv6"

Upgrading your connection results in loss of IPv6? That's weird. So, running a packet capture would show no IPv6. I hope Rogers doesn't kill IPv6 on fibre. At the moment I'm running on coax.

@JKnott Yep, in Verizon/Frontier's upside down world, upgrade == lose features
