Where can I find release notes for packages?

I could never find what's new when a package is updated. If I go to the Package Manager, click on the link with the version number, I am taken to github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/commits/... but there is no information there.

For example, something changed on my network after the latest Patches package update. I am troubleshooting and I want to revert the latest patches. If you know, the Patches package agglomerates all patches, including those from the previous versions which I don't want/need to revert. Also, it doesn't list them in chronological order. There is no way to sort them. So, I want to find which patches came with the latest updates. I click on the version number in the Package Manager and I am taken to https://github.com/pfsense/FreeBSD-ports/commits/devel/sysutils/pfSense-pkg-System_Patches where the latest commit is from March 2026 but the package was updated a few days ago. I can't find which patches came with the latest update.

Another example is the ACME package. The Github lists the latest commit from February 2026 but the package was updated 9 days ago. Thankfully, there is a post here on the forum with a changelog.

What is the purpose of those links in the Package Manager when they lead to no info, and where to find change logs?

@pfpv I am also troubleshooting an issue that I believe began with the latest system patches so wanted to revert for testing.

As you say I'm surprised there seems no way to find what patches were recently applied, the changelog does not show what patches were included in the 2.2.30 update, and it's not clear if applied patches in the GUI are listed in chronological order. Maybe I'm missing something obvious?
