Nexus login page not recognized by Proton Pass password manager

Proton Pass does not recognize the Netgate Nexus username or password fields. I'm forced to login manually and use a less than desirable password complexity.

FWIW, 1Password does seem to recognize them.

Bitwarden also works. We can follow up on this once the missing requirements to make it work are identified.

Why is that? Not a proton pass user, but in bitwarden I can copy a username or password out of the entry even when auto autofill doesn't work.. Is there no way to just copy and paste.. My login to autofill doesn't work on my nvr for example - but it recognizes the site, it just won't autofill - this might be due to just using http on the nvr login? But I thought when first ran into that I did setup a cert. Which was more pain than it was worth on a nvr only I can access from my trusted network, etc. Why have the little nvr do extra work for no reason so I went back to just http. Maybe I will try bouncing it off ha proxy.. Let it do the ssl work.
So I just copy and paste what I need from bitwarden. So you could use whatever complexity you want.

@johnpoz Yes, of course Proton Pass permits copy/paste and even preloads the clipboard. You're right. It's just tedious for a frequent task.
The question is what hints are missing and should be added to the login form.

@KevinRice I have not updated my main to 26.07 - but I do have a test vm running it - let me turn that on and see..

@johnpoz I don't think prior versions worked with Proton either. Not sure what the issue is. The
<input>elements are decorated withautocomplete="username"andautocomplete="current-password"which should be adequate.I'm even noticing Proton added markup to the source, which proves it is active:

@KevinRice I just installed proton pass free. And yeah it sure doesn't want to work with firefox that is for sure... Works fine on the old gui, but the nexus login - yeah just sits there can not get it to autofill at all.. Even tried just creating new login..

@johnpoz It does recognize the password field, but only suggests a new password (not recognizing what should be a known login). Not working in FF or Edge. I'm trying various things with no luck so far.

@KevinRice yeah odd - it shows proton autofill on the old gui, but new one nothing.. Even though it clearly matches the site.

@johnpoz I'm kinda out of ideas. Definitely a Proton issue—which is rare, but there's a few sites that give troubles.
