        Update from the OP (Sept 2026): I removed the original post above — this package (and all my other pfSense packages) now ships through the unified, signed community repository instead of a per-package repo, and is managed from a one-page GUI under System → Community Packages. The AbuseIPDB reporter is pfSense-pkg-abuseipdb there. Current install:

        cat > /usr/local/etc/pkg/repos/community.conf <<'CONF'
        community: {
            url: "https://tmiland-lab.github.io/pfsense-community-packages/repo",
            mirror_type: "NONE",
            signature_type: "PUBKEY",
            pubkey: "/usr/local/etc/pkg/community.pub",
            enabled: yes
        }
        CONF
        fetch -o /usr/local/etc/pkg/community.pub \
          https://tmiland-lab.github.io/pfsense-community-packages/community.pub
        pkg update -r community
        pkg install -y -r community pfSense-pkg-abuseipdb

        It also appears (alongside every other community/official add-on) in the one-page System → Community Packages manager. Full announcement: A community pkg repo for 2.8.x "outside" packages. Source stays at tmiland/pfsense-abuseipdb (MIT) — the package is unchanged, only the distribution channel moved.
