      I was trying to update my SG-1100 via the UI.

      The last sign of life there was:

      [236/245] Extracting pfSense-base-25.11.1: ... done
      ===> Keeping a copy of current version mtree
      ===> Removing schg flag from base files
      ===> Extracting new base tarball

      Since then, my SG-1100 was unresponsive and not functioning anymore.

      I rebooted & connected via the USB console and I am not getting a proper prompt. Instead I see a prompt like this:

      db>

      I am not sure, but it could be that I ran out of disk space during the update procedure.

      Can I recover?

        If you type bt at that prompt the backtrace should show you what the panic was.

        What were you upgrading from?

        I would probably just re-install to 26.07 though. You can recover the config from the installer if you don't have a backup as long as the drive is readable.
