I just updated an APU2 (previously on 2.8.1 without issue) and noticed it is identifying Chelsio hardware and trying to attach. Looking through dmesg, I see:

      chvf0: <Chelsio T71400 VF> mem 0xd0526000-0xd05260ff irq 18 at device 19.0 on pci0
      chvf0: cannot map MSI-X BAR.
      device_attach: chvf0 attach returned 6
      chvf0: <Chelsio T72200-RC VF> at device 20.0 on pci0
      chvf0: cannot map registers.
      device_attach: chvf0 attach returned 6
      chvf0: <Chelsio S7450-OCP3 VF> at device 20.3 on pci0
      chvf0: cannot map registers.
      device_attach: chvf0 attach returned 6

Looking at pciconf, each of these devices is actually:

      none2@pci0:0:19:0
      AMD FCH USB EHCI Controller
      none3@pci0:0:20:0
      AMD FCH SMBus Controller
      none4@pci0:0:20:3
      AMD FCH LPC Bridge

Looks like device matching/probing is going wrong. Any thoughts on this?

Yeah looks like a driver bug in the new Chelsio driver. Only real issue is that it breaks the USB2 controller on the APU2. You may need to use a USB3 memory stick to reinstall for example.

            @stephenw10

            Thanks for the USB3 tip.
