There is a wizard-y thing for when CoreDNS is enabled in the Nexus GUI. One step is - obviously - disabling Unbound.

On the other hand if CoreDNS is disabled, Unbound is not enabled anymore. I understand, since there is no wizard involved and I simply stopped a service.

Knowing users, I think it would be worth at least a pop-up or a banner message that reminds the user that she/he/it has to manually enable a DNS service.

Or maybe even more helpful: provide a wizard for it that does the reverse of the enable-CoreDNS-wizard, a banner showing when CoreDNS is enabled.

@patient0 At this point, Nexus is less than a beta. Without the blog-post, almost no one would care. I think some advanced user like us are needed to report problems. And at this stage, we know how to start a service in the GUI.
It is not ready for prime-time yet.

for something less than a beta i'm keeping it far from anything I actually rely on, happy to let the brave ones hit the sharp edges first

@Bob.Dig I agree about the less-than-beta. On the other hand, I hope they keep a todo-list and it maybe finds its way onto that list.
