Should the install be slow on a P3/600
-
I am considering changing to pfsense from ipcop.org. I have an old compaq P3/600 similar to what I use for ipcop.org. I decided to try to first install pfsense on my regular network prior to putting it in place as my current firewall. However, after I got it running on the LAN, browsing to the pfsense web interface is unbearably slow (I'm talking minutes to get my info back to the browser…). I double checked the hardware, it seems OK.
My sense it's because something is not configured right yet (given I'm only plugged in with one network cable yet, I did expect the 'watchdog messages' on the console), but other than that, I have no clue what to expect. Anything I can look at in logs or some such? Couldn't find much in the documentation, but perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My experience,You must have better hardware. The most important:enough ram.
I'm using a pc with celeron 1.1g cpu and 512m ram,works good.
