WAN set to PPPoE, can I still use that interface for something else?
-
Hi…
The way I had my system running before, in order to save on how many network cards I needed was that I had.
adsl modem (PPPoE) | ppp0 | [voip server] eth0 ----> eth0 - gateway ---> eth1 LAN
So the PPPoE client on the gateway would use the eth0 interface ; my ISP routing a /28 subnet via that PPP interface ; one of the public IP being used by the VoIP server…
Is it possible with pfSense once the WAN is configured as PPPoE to still use eth0 for another network.
So ppp0 really is the WAN interface (and not eth0) and eth0 is just for another network...Thanks
