-
Hello guys,
I'm really new on this thanks to all.
I'm trying to build a firewall with PFSENSE 1.2.3 with this configuration.
I got three NIC and one fiber HBA on a Core2duo with 2Gb RAM and a 250Gb Hard drive.
I want to build this configurationHBA (as WAN)–-------NIC1 (as LAN)
|
---------NIC2 (as OPT1)
|
---------NIC3 (as OPT2)When I boot with PF cd I can install all perfect but when I want to choose Wich NIC Is LAN, WAN, OPT1, OPT2 and etc HBA does not in the list.
Also If I go to Interfaces->Assing isn't on the list to choose?
Could you help me or guide me?
Thank you a lot!

pfSense 1.2.3 supports everything FreeBSD 7.2 supports.
Did you take a look at their "supported hardware" liste? Can you post the output of dmesg?
Even if the card isn't supported, there should be a message about it. -
Hi, thanks for answer the qlogic it's on the supported hardware list.

Check the manpage for the isp driver, it appears to have more detailed info.

Errmmm..
This is not a Ethernet based card, this is a HBA for Fibre-channel storage attachment, like tapedrives and Diskarrays.
Not exactly what you are trying to use it for :-)
