PfSense are DHCP server for wireless clients
-
My current set up is as follows:
<pc user="">–- <wifi router="">--- <pfsense>--- <internet>I'm using an Asus WL-520GU with DD-WRT for the wifi router. The wifi router is acting as the DHCP server and providing dynamic IPs. I would want pfSense to be the DHCP servers so that each pc user gets it's internal ip from pfSense (I want to be able to see the MAC addresses and usage details from pfSense since - as per my understanding - it offers more detail).I'm not sure what this setup is called wherein the wifi router is just a conduit for the pc user to connect to pfSense acting as a DHCP server. I can Google the settings DD-WRT once I know what this configuration is called. I have no idea though if this is even possible.
Any help would be appreciated. :)</internet></pfsense></wifi></pc>

Just disable the DHCP on the AP and connect the pfSense to the LAN ports instead of the WAN port.
