Installation of 2.0 and/OR latest stable 4 embedded Alix.Guide and download url?

Hi Folks,
I have a hard time finding the embedded files for latest release 1.2.3 (if that is the latest) for an alix board. I only see Embedded 1.2.RC4 listed here:
http://files.pfsense.org/mirror/downloads/old/
I also want to play around with 2.0 beta. Is there an embedded version posted somewhere? or can I build my own for embedded? Any guides?
P.S. Just for router/vpn function is 2GB CF card enough? No extra packages.
Thanks a lot.

There are a variety of download files for embedded version of pfSense 1.2.3 in http://files.pfsense.org/mirror/downloads/. The file pfSense-1.2.3-RELEASE-2g-nanobsd.img.gz is for burning to a 2GB card. There is documentation on the pfSense site for embedded version of pfSense 1.2.3.

Download 2.0 BETA from page linked from http://snapshots.pfsense.org/FreeBSD_RELENG_8_1/i386/pfSense_HEAD/?C=M;O=D For guides search the pfSense Documentation page and the specific forum for 2.0 BETA.

512MB is enough but in my part of the world its not so easy to get a card smaller than 2GB.

Thanks for that.
Is there a specific 2.0 embedded version?
P.S. any recommendations for CF card that lasts long? I am sure people have a lot to say about this one.
Thanks again

Or a guide to jump from 1.2.3 to 2.0? I have got 1.2.3 running now.
P.S. Where is the QoS in pfsense? I want to give priority and enough bandwidth to phones before I give any to the data network feeding of Opt1. I also want Opt1 to be a separate DHCP server with a totally different subnet so SIP phones and the data network don't reach each other at all.
thanks

The developers consider 2.0 to be "not yet production ready". A number of people are using it and generally finding it satisfactory, though a number of the snapshot builds over the last week or so seem to have had problems.
No there is no 2.0 "RELEASE" yet but you do have access to snapshot builds which from time to time are likely to be broken.
Or a guide to jump from 1.2.3 to 2.0?
1. See caveat above. If you decide to proceed:
2. Download a snapshot build.
3. Backup the configuration file to PC. (Web GUI: Diagnostics -> Backup/Restore)
4. Upload (to the pfSense box) the new firmware file (Web GUI: System -> Firmware) and follow directions. -

Traffic shaping is used to provide Quality of Service control in pfsense. Hence, you'll find this function under: Firewall -> Traffic Shaper.
Do note that under pfsense 2.0 (if you're willing to dabble with it), the rules for matching traffic to queues falls under Firewall -> Rules -> Floating Rules.
