I would disable sim pin and test again.
Do a search on E220
To get more hardware info some commands can be found in this post http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,27211.0.html

Hi Perry,
you were right :D without PIN it works fine.
Is it possible to determine the network the modem is connected to (GPRS,UMTS,HSDPA)?
How to start a search on E220?

Is it possible to determine the network the modem is connected to (GPRS,UMTS,HSDPA)?Hi Perry
on some dongles or 3g-modems you have some LEDs blinking in different colors.
They represent GSM, EDGE or 3g.example:
" … rapid green blinks: Modem is powered -- no network available
Blinking green : GPRS or EDGE available
Blinking blue : 3G network available "ATester

Hi,
are there some parameters to prevent the UMTS Modem to use other mobile networks?
I dont want my UMTS modem with vodafone sim dial to other networks than vodafone.
