Please add an ip in this subnet on a real interface.</p>
<p dir="auto">We don't have all IP's from the same subnet. Can I still get CARP? Why not?</p>
<p dir="auto">proxy arp doesn't work with ftp-helper<br />
carp can't be used with other subnet<br />
so what is works with virtual IP's and FTP ?</p>

You'll have to wait for the next major version (most likely 2.0) which has support for another type of alias that should be able to handle this condition.</p>
