I have two different PPTP clients on my network that need to be concurrently connected to a work VPN.  One client is Win7 Pro, the other Debian Linux.  They connect to the same VPN using different IP addresses.  This worked flawlessly with DD-WRT out of the box.  Both clients would stay connected for weeks at a time.  With pfSense 2.0 BETA5, however, the following behavior is observed on the Linux client only:

      1. [Re]Start PPTP ([poff], pon), connection succeeds, remote network is responsive
      2. Within 5-10 seconds, the remote network is unresponsive, pptp processes still running
      3. Restart PPTP (poff, pon), connection succeeds, remote network is responsive
      4. Within 18-24 hours, the remote network is once again unresponsive, pptp processes still running
      5. Repeat 1-4

Other than using upnp and static outbound NAT (for Xbox Live), I'm pretty much a default configuration, but 1-5 occurred before I changed for Xbox Live anyway.  Any ideas before I resort to a watchdog script?

I've been experiencing this same problem since October and it now seems that they have a fix.  Just download the latest build and you should be fine.  Since the lastest upgrade my PPTP passthru connections have been working fine.

With latest snapshot you should not have anymore this issue.

Seems to be fixed with 1/19 build.  Thanks.
