      Hey guys,

I've got a pfSense server which is serving my needs, I've got 5 NIC Cards (Only 2 Assigned)

      1x WAN (PPPoE)
      1x LAN

I need to assign anothed NIC to utilize the same network as "LAN" nic card - and access the DHCP server on "LAN".

I can do this by "Interface Groups" ?

      Would appreiate any input, thx

      Regards

      o

A 'bridge' is what you are looking for…

          Thanks mhab12,

So new setup will consist of:

          1: WAN
          2: LAN
          3: LAN2

Go to Bridge and "Bridge" LAN + LAN2… connections going through LAN2 - they can access the DHCP Server on LAN, right?

Your non -LAN interface(s) will need firewall rule(s) to allow DHCP traffic.

Are you using pfSense 1.2.3 or 2.0? Configuration details will be a bit different.

See http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,34314.msg177932.html#msg177932 for how I configured a bridge on pfSense 2.0 between a wired LAN and a wireless LAN.
