Hangs on reboot at "stopping other cpus"

system hangs on a reboot at: stopping other cpus
running an atom d525mw
pfsense-2.0-RC1-i386
i have hyperthreading disabled in the bios and have tried both smp and single cpu installs -
Try running this from diagnostics > command or an ssh prompt:
sysctl hw.acpi.handle_reboot=1
If that lets it reboot, set that up under System > Advanced, on the System Tunables tab.

that got itā¦. thanksĀ ;D
added a system tunable: hw.acpi.handle_reboot=1
set value to: default (1)is it now possible to enable hyperthreading in the bios or will i have to reinstall to build a proper kernel?
-
The tunable name should just be "hw.acpi.handle_reboot", with a value of 1. It wasn't clear if that's what you did from your last post.
Hyperthreading should be OK to enable, though in most workloads it doesn't really gain you that much.

yes thats what i entered for the tunable.
thanks for your help!
