I have a question will this custom built system on ebay work with pfsense 2.0? Also I guess since it does not have a cd-rom I will have to create a boot usb with the pfsense image right?

Likely yes. I have a similar system built with the Jetway NF99FL-525 (dual intel nics) and 3 extra Intel Nics. This one has Realtek nics on board and the addon 3 nics are Realtek.
Case looks a lot better than mine, I got one of these cos it was cheap and shipping wasn't a shocker:

Hi,
i'm going to built a similar system with
1- Jetway NF99FL-525 Dual Core Atom Mini-ITX Mainboard
2- Jetway 3x 1Gb Intel LAN Module Or is better the realtek one? I read on intel and realtec site seem very similar chipsets
3- Transcend SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 Memory 2GB x2
4- Digistor Slimline SATA CD/DVD Drive Converter Cable
5- antec isk 300-65
What do you think?
Regards
Ugo

Every time Realtek vs. Intel comes up on this forum, the message is clear: "choose Intel"
The DVD drive isn't strictly needed, except for the install. You can also install from USB but that can be fiddly. -
Intel module is more power e stable.
