OPEN VPN STOP THE SERVICE AFTER CONNECTION
I followed RoadWarrier guide and configured OPENVPN on pfsense 2.0
But I am facing strange problem.
OpenVPN gives the error message like "Connecting to redbox-udp-1194 has failed" and stop the service immediately after connection.
I am attaching snapshot for your reference.
If anybody know this error
Which snapshot are you running ?
In older ones there was the problem that you could not connect to the OpenVPN Server when you have a CRL in use which is empty. If you revoke a test certificate then the connection should work.
But the better way is to update to actual snapshot where this issue is solved by jimp.
I ma having the same issue, following http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=odjviG-KDq8 and using :
built on Sun Jul 24 19:56:21 EDT 2011
I dont have a CRL, is that the root cause?
I have a log from Tunnelblick (beta version for Os X Lion).
Should I update to the 25th snapshot? or is it something else?
I think it is something else. I only had this problem when I used a CRL.
I took a look at your connection output:
As far as I know this means, that the connection is established:
2011-07-26 19:41:03 [pcintelligence_vpn] Peer Connection Initiated with 184.108.40.206:1194 2011-07-26 19:41:06 TUN/TAP device /dev/tun0 opened
But after this there a problems with the interface configuration. Do you have the correct rights for the user who is running/starting the OpenVPN client ?
Perhaps some conflicts with your routes?
I found out that if I change the openvpn encryption settings from 256 AES to 128 bit BF-CBC it works..
So there might be an issue with Tunnelblick or there is an issue with pFsense and 256 bit AES encryption.
Hmm… I am using a snapshot from 2x july and it is working with AES 256 and the Windows OpenVPN Client.
I've seen that the AES-CBC 256 bit is working fine so it is cypher related.
