Do you use a cutom page for Captive portal sign in?
A common source of upgrade problems are illegal characters in the config.xml file. I would go through it and check manually.Steve

A common source of upgrade problems are illegal characters in the config.xml file. I would go through it and check manually.I wrote a package to check for those. Details are in the Upgrade Guide here:

No, I don't use a custom portal page. This pfsense box was for a remote user at home, to establish a IPSEC connection to the main office. Can't imagine there being any illegal characters…
How would I proceed though? Reinstall 2.0 from Live CD seams to be my only option, cause it won't even boot now :(
Thanks.

Do you have a backup of the config.xml?
If so it's almost certainly quicker to reinstall and restore than anything else.Steve

yes, I'll just reinstall and restore, thanks!
