Is this possible with OpenVPN?  When connecting remotely to work (they use Checkpoint), I hit a public IP (https://XX.XX.XX.XX), and it prompts me for a username/password, once Im authenticated, as long as the small window stays open, I have access to the LAN, if I close the window, it closes my session.
