Hello,
Not sure if this is the root of my issues but my PPTP connections randomly timeout and I have to reconnect every few minutes. This was not happening prior to the 2.0 upgrade.
Reviewing the system logs I found the following error message repeat itself:kernel: arp: X.X.X.X moved from 00:00:00:00:00:01 to 00:00:00:00:00:02 on em0
Aug 21 00:01:49 apinger: alarm canceled: GW_WAN(X.X.X.X) *** down ***I'm assuming this is because I am running pfSense in a VM and the the VM host has dual interfaces connected to two redundant switches. My ISP provides me with two redudant Ethernet drops connected to both switches therefore the gateway (in the arp table) does change MAC addresses as both IP's are load balanced between the two switches.
Hope that makes sense lol.
Just wondering what kind of side effects I would be experiencing and if this is the cause of the PPTP connection dropping every few minutes. Thanks

OK so after a few hours of testing, when this error occurs any open connections (RDP Sessions, PPTP Sessions, SSH sessions, etc.) completely disconnect. Not sure what to do here, any suggestions?

Disable clearing of states on down gateways.
That would be my first try but really you have to check your routing. -
had same 'error' I think the problem is you have same IP twice (both mac's have same IP)? You can check it with arping.
