Include changes from squid to squid2 and squid-reverse
-
JimP added some changes that I think would benefit the squid3 and squid-reverse packages. Could the maintainers of those packages take a look at the code changes and add them to squid3 and squid-reverse when they have time please?

https://github.com/bsdperimeter/pfsense-packages/commit/54cc1ac21a9e89a496800bb521ca7d485929cc95 (jimp states there is a bug in this code but the later change corrected that) -
β¦and one more little fix.

Looks like squid-reverse has been updated with the changes jimp made. Any update for squid3?

squid3 will not be maintained anymore, the next release of squid-reverse is built upon squid 3.1.19
please be a little patient ;-) -

please be a little patient ;-)Would I be able to use squid-reverse3 as a proxy-server instead of a reverse-proxy? Worse case when you update the squid-reverse package, I could grab the squid-3.1.19 binaries for the original squid 3 package.

Just a suggestion, isn't better just use squid3 on it's package name and on description says that it does proxy and proxy reverse?
Squid-reverse name suggests that it's only a reverse proxy package.

I would just keep going with squid3 and ditch the -reverse one.
