Does PFSense 2.0.1 support the PERC H200 Raid Card
-
I have a Dell R610 server that has a PERC H200 raid card. I am running into issues with the install where it isn't detecting a drive. I've read some older posts that mention PFSense does not have support for this particular RAID card. Can someone confirm if this is true or not?

Well, I'm unable to find any H200-related entry on FreeBSD Hardware Compatibility List:
http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en/books/faq/compatibility-drives.html
and
http://www.freebsd.org/releases/8.3R/hardware.html
http://www.freebsd.org/releases/9.0R/hardware.html
So I just recommend set up hypervisor with supported OS (CentOS, Debian or so) and virtualize pfSense. -

The LSI 2008 is supported by FreeBSD. Of course, as you've noticed, this doesn't 100% confirm that it's 100% supported. Supposedly, and this is odd to me, BreeBSD may only support the H200 with JBOD arrays. Which I'm presume isn't your current (nor probably desired) configuration.

Ignore what I said, look at the next post.

The H200 is based on the LSI 2008. The 2008 isn't supported until FreeBSD 8.3. Since pfSense 2.0 is built on 8.1, it won't work. The 2.1 development snapshots are built on 8.3 though so I think it might work with those.
