'An upgrade is currently in progress.' since two days!<br />
I cannot even log in with SSH</p>
<p dir="auto">I would not like to force the shutdown with the power down button. Any suggestion?<br />

If there is no change then the system is so knotted it is ignoring the keyboard and there is nothing further you can do beyond a power reset.</p>

I will take care of your advice for the future.<br />
At the moment looks impossible even to access the physical consolle. I can only see many error messages dating to this midnight stating<br />
snort[16660] DynamicPlugin: Rule[3:13803] not enabled in configuration, the rule will not be used<br />
So I don't have any response to the pressure of control-T characters<br />
I hope this can help others for the future to solve the problem.<br />
Is there anything I can do before or immediately after a cold reboot that I'm planning to do anyway tomorrow, so that I can provide more information about the problem?<br />
Happily I did a complete configuration backup before starting the update.</p>
