a) started, b) many hours, usually ~6 or so, give or take for a full run, b) all our times are US Eastern. Github might adjust based on your preferences though.

Just a small question: in trying to figure out which commits are in a build:
a) is the build timestamp the time of when the build started, or when it ended?
b) if it's the end-time, how long does a build generally take?
c) are the time zones for the github time stamps and for the builds the same?

Or put simply: how do I know that a certain commit is part of a particular build, unless I just wait an extra day or so?

Should be OK on the next new snapshots, we switched to yet another different ntpd binary (same lineage as the one freebsd includes, but a couple point releases newer)

I had missed some files for the copy list that makes the iso/update images when I did the switch, and since my VM was working, I didn't realize it (because apparently I had manually done a pkg_add for that version previously on that vm…)

"Will the real ntpd please stand up?" ;D

Thanks for taking the trouble to explain, next snapshot eagerly awaited. 8)

Ok, so it is probably a scripting issue rather than ntp binary. I never bothered to try to launch it from CLI so thanks for that info…

My bad, I was looking at an earlier terminal window that happened to have the ps list on it. No, it's definitely not running.

"ntpd" from the Shell starts it up just fine.

I have this too, except that ntp is not running - try```
ps -A | grep ntp
