Add interface to pfSense
-
Is it possible to add an interface to pfSense where pfSense is not "responsible" for it?
I have installed the AICCU package to get my SixXs IPv6 tunnel working.
It does actually work, and I do get a tun0 interface in freebsd. How do I tell pfSense now that it has a new interface to manage?
I can't add it on the Interface -> Assign page, it does not show up.Using 2.1 Snapshot August 4th.
UPDATE: The problem is that there is no "+" on the Interface "Assign" page.

Click the "+" at the bottom right of that page.

Thanks for your reply. I may have not described my problem accurately.
The problem actually is that there is no "+" on that page ;)Thanks

Sorry, it looks as if tun interfaces are used by OpenVPN in pfSense so it is probably difficult to use them for other purposes.

I can actually name it what I want. I tried em3, but does not seem to work unfortunately.

OK, AICCU did not give the interface another name than tun0.
I have patched away "tun" in $vfaces = array ( from /etc/inc/util.inc in the "get_interface_list" function, and it does now recognize the interface and I can use it in pfsense for rules and stuff :)Maybe that helps others ;)
Thanks
