<![CDATA[Dansguardian doesn't start]]>Hi everyone.

Although i am new to the forum, i've been using and testing pfsense for quite some time and always managed to learn and solve my problems here. I feel this is an awesome community  and since this is my first post i'd like to present my respects and apreciation for all the work you are doing.

Now to the point.

I've been trying to install dansguardian package on a test machine for some days in the latest 2.1 snapshots, but never got it to work. My latest experience was with a clean install of 13-08-2012 snapshot and like all the others i'm always getting the same errors.

System log:

(It's not all here but i guess it's enough to get the point)

This is from a clean install vmware esxi VM x64

Already reinstalled, deleted and installed, installed squid and then dansguardian, dansguardian then squid, squid3 and some more things i can't remember.

I hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction because i spent several hours searching the forums, reading and trying "everything" without success.

I'm sorry if this is answered somewhere else but i really tried and couldn't find a solution.

Today i tried the same process but in the i386 version - same problems.

After that i tried installing squid and HAVP (because of the clamav part) letting HAVP disabled, and after reboot i no longer had those errors in PHP_error.log.

Now the thing is complaining that it can't open or create the log file.

Error opening/creating log file. (check ownership and access rights).
I am running as nobody and I am trying to open /var/log/dansguardian/access.log

Tried modifiing the permissions of /var/log/dansguardian/access.log but still i get the same error both in system logs as when i try to start dansguardian from the console.

Any help??
