<![CDATA[How to increase hdd size?]]>Hi,
I have the Hyper-V server with pfsense instance and want to increase the size of pfsense virtual disk. After increasing virtual hdd size it will be the raw part added to other pfsense partitions. How can I merge it with pfsense partitions? Is this script helpful for hdd or just for embedded systems on flash? Maybe fresh install is simplest?

What is the custom mods?

pfSense is open source you are free to hack around with the code and modify your install as you wish. If you need a particular function and it's available for FreeBSD you can probably make it work in pfSense but you may have to manually change some files for example.
This makes upgrading or reinstalling a more difficult decision as you would have to reinstate any changes you had made.

If you've not done anything like that then all your configuration is stored in the config.xml file so you can simply restore it.

Unless you have done extensive custom mods to the system just backup your config and restore it afterwards.
