Simtec Entropy Key
-
I was wondering if anyone has used one of these usb keys to increase random numbers … I've heard that on linux systems this speeds up SSH a ton and IPsec tunnels as well
or any other entropy key … any advise would be great, I'm planning on hosting a ton of openvpn connections

Irrelevant if there is no FreeBSD driver. (pfSense is built on FreeBSD, not Linux.)

Currently, this daemon is available for Linux (and packages suitable for Debian and Ubuntu can be provided, as well as source tarballs), but other platforms are being investigated. It is licensed under the MIT licence.
They seem like a small enough company that you probably stand a good chance of getting through to someone useful. E-mail them and ask about FreeBSD support and whether or not it's likely to do any good. The price seems quite reasonable.

Edit: Looks like it won't play nicely with FreeBSD even with driver support so you could be out of luck:

@stephenw10 Thank you
@wallabybob Not very helpful, I understand the differences, but I saw that it worked on MirBSD already, you didn't even read anything about it just saw someone say the word linux and went off on your rant
