OpenVPN client export (0.26) once more creating bogus executables
-
Ive already created a bug report for this (http://redmine.pfsense.org/issues/1898), but wanted to post it here in case anyone else was trying to figure out what happened.
After upgrading from 0.24 to 0.26 Client Export, the OpenVPN export utility now generates corrupted installers. On running from console I get the message "program too big to fit in memory". Opening the exe in notepad shows the problem:
Warning: rename(openvpnmanager/openvpn-postinstall.exe,openvpn-postinstall.exe): No such file or directory in /usr/local/pkg/openvpn-client-export.inc on line 525 MZ ÿÿ ¸ @ ø º ´ Í!¸LÍ!This program cannot be run in DOS mode.
Once I get something downloaded that can properly edit and save that file without messing all the hex up (Im hoping notepad++ will suffice) ill see if the executables work once that crap is ripped out.

As suspected, once you remove the top two lines of the generated executable using eg notepad++, the normal icon comes back and the executables run.

Looks like it was just fixed– old archive on the package server, a simple uninstall and reinstall as of a few minutes ago fixes it.
