2 interfaces on the same network. Can it be done?
-
Actually I have 3 interfaces, 1 WAN and 2 LAN. From these two, 1 is FastEthernet and the other one is WIFI (wifi card installed on pfsense machine). I was wondering if I can have both of them on the same subnetwork (192.168.1.x) so I can share files and resources between wired and wireless devices.
At this point I have 192.168.1.x for the wired interface and 192.168.2.x for the wireless interface.
Can something be done to make them work on the same subnetwork? Briding perhaps? I'm not familiar with this so I will apreciate very much if somebody could shed some little light here.
Thank you!! -
Bridging a wired interface and a wireless interface is a fairly common activity. I suggest you read http://forum.pfsense.org/index.php/topic,20917.0.html

Thank you very much! I'll read it and try to make it work!
