      We use : 2.1-BETA1 (i386) built on Tue Dec 18 04:19:29 EST 2012  .

After making changes in squidguard, pressing save and apply does not start or activate changes .

To activate the squidguard changes to to a squid3 screen and press apply.

We're not sure if that is caused by something set up incorrectly or unusual on our end, or if it is a bug.

There were changes on the squid3 .pbi builds the last 1-2 days. This could be the problem.
Perhaps try to reinstall squid3 and squidguard to get the actual builds.

You need to edit squid.inc for manual fix.
My installation won't start because of

          php: /pkg_edit.php: The command '/usr/pbi/squid-amd64/sbin/squid -k reconfigure -f /usr/pbi/squid-amd64/etc/squid/squid.conf' returned exit code '1', the output was '2012/12/21 17:13:20| cache_cf.cc(381) parseOneConfigFile: squid.conf:6 unrecognized: 'dns_v4_first' 2012/12/21 17:13:20| Warning: empty ACL: acl throttle_exts urlpath_regex -i "/var/squid/acl/throttle_exts.acl"'

          I edited squid.inc and changed the line "dns_v4_first {etc..}" into "# dns_v4_first {etc..}"

The dns_v4_first error has been confirmed by others to be fixed using the latest binary. Uninstall/reinstall and it should be OK with no hand editing.
