      Is it possible to configure a notification email to be sent when an advanced option on a rule applies?

      We have a limit on incoming connections and would like to know when that has applied for a rule.

      Been searching the web / forum and not finding anything yet :)

        No, not possible currently.

        There is no event that gets triggered at that time. pf will just place the offending IP into a specific table where it gets blocked for new connections.

        Someone could probably write a script that checked the contents of that table (I believe it's the virusprot table) and report when IPs show up, but it would take some work to do.
