Hi, i am looking for a pc (desktop) for pfsense on amazon.com.

2 switch will be connect to the pc. 1 switch will have 6 wan. and other switch for 3 lan (with 30 access points).

i never use pfsense before that is why i am asking.

      i think i can install it on win7 ? (32bit or 64bit?) or u advice win xp pro ?

lots of pc's motherboard has onboard NIC so i will order an additional NIC. Is it a problem use the onboard NIC. or u sggest to order 2 additional NIC ?

      what is your NIC advices?

i think i3 4gb 500gb will be enough for this system..

      thanks

pfSense is a complete operating system (it's built on FreeBSD). You do not install it on top of Windows.
If you are buying a desktop machine to use you want one that doesn't come with any OS.

The most important figure when sizing a box for pfSense is the expected throughput. You mentioned in another thread that it will be 6X 100Mbps WANs presumably load balanced.

Try to get Intel NICs if you can as they are best supported.
