IPSec VPN or OpenVPN - mobile users
-
I have been searching Google and many forums trying to help me decide on whether IPSec VPN or OpenVPN is the best choice for me.
It will only be used for when me and my users are out of office, clients will consist of Android and IOS devices and laptops.
Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
I'm running PFSense 2.0.3 on a dedicated box.

I use OpenVPN on both iOS ("new" iPad) and Android and it's super easy to setup and works great on both devices with the client available on Play/App Store. The client export utility on pfSense makes it super easy to get all the settings to your device.
Personally I found setting up IPSec to be much more complicated and with the Android ROM I had then it crashed the phone.
My use case is from home with just a few devices so your mileage might vary.

OpenVPN everywhere. Mobile IPsec has always been a pain, and you never know if the random remote cafe or hotel network will screw up IPsec. OpenVPN just works from anywhere/everywhere.

OpenVPN will traverse a NAT, IPSec will not. I configure openVPN on port 443 to get around a great many gateway problems.
