Bridging Problems
-
Hey all,
I have been trying to follow the instructions in this old thread to no avail. It just isn't working for me.
My problems are as follows:
1.) Any computer plugged into any of the bridged LAN ports will be able to access the web gui for configuration upon boot of the pfSense box. If any device is unplugged and replugged in again (to the same port, or any other on the bridge) it will never come back up again, and be able to access the web gui again. The only way to get web gui access back is to reboot the pfSense box.
2.) The pfSense box can ping IP's on the WAN from console, however, no device plugged into the bridge can access the WAN.
Things that may be exacerbating #2:
The pfSense box is currently running with the WAN side connected to my LAN (10.0.1.xxx) for testing purposes (I am building this box as a gift and want it working properly before I got to install it) I have however disabled blocking of LAN IP's and bogon networks in the WAN configuration screen while I am testing, but it still does not seem to allow anything on the LAN side of the box to access the WAN side of the box (my LAN)
How I've set things up:
**Dashboard Screen:
System Tuneables (Bridge filtering changed):
Bridge Configuration:
Interface Assignment:
**
Does anyone know what I might have done wrong, and why this isn't working?
I'd appreciate any help!
Thanks,

So, #1 appears like it might be related to this issue with interfaces cycling. Trying to use the fix there, but struggling with how to do it.

Yep, definitely fixed my interface connectivity problem (#1) using the information in that other thread.
Still can't get any WAN actioin from the LAN side though. (#2). Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Matt
